Hello!  My name is Colin Paterson.  I began my art career on the kitchen table of my parent's home when I was just a boy.  I have always loved to make things with my hands, and I have always loved art and making art. Making knives is truly an art form. It is actually just another extension and just the most recent of my artistic endeavors. I hope to close out my days building as large, and fine a collection of one of a kind custom knives and customized factory knives as I can.

I have taken on many commissions over the years I worked as a fine artist in both graphic art and sculpture. My most recognized piece of graphic art is a portrait of then President Ronald Reagan. I am now semi-retired and I am enjoying my time combining my love of knives with my love of creating art by customizing existing knives, and building new ones from scratch. Most of the customizing work I do involves the great American art form of scrimshaw, which I love to do and work diligently to perfect. To learn more about me, please view my completed work.
