Hello!  My name is Colin Paterson.  I began my art career on the kitchen table of my parent's home when I was just a boy.  I have always loved to make things with my hands, and I have always loved art and making art. Making knives is truly an art form. It is actually just another extension and just the most recent of my artistic endeavors. I hope to build a fine collection of unique custom knives as well as continue to customize many factory knives.

I worked as a fine artist in both graphic art and sculpture. I am now retired and I am enjoying my time combining my love of knives with my love of creating art by customizing existing knives, and building new ones from scratch. Most of the customizing work I do involves the great American art form of scrimshaw, which I love to do and work diligently to perfect. To learn more about me, please view some of my completed work.
